Who we are
The Youth Psychology Association is a student-led project that serves both as a mental health resource hub for youth and as a platform for youth-driven research in psychology and neuroscience. It aims to bridge the gap between evidence-based knowledge and lived experience by giving youth accessible opportunities to explore healthcare, spaces to seek help, and a voice to converse with other like mined individuals seeking scientific discovery
1. Mental health resource
At its core, the Youth Psychology Association is a place where youth can learn about mental health in clear, evidence-informed language, with content grounded in current youth mental health research and best practices for youth engagement.
Another key goal is to promote help-seeking behavior by normalizing conversations about mental health and reducing stigma, so that youth feel safer reaching out to trusted adults, professionals, or peers. The site can highlight protective factors, like social connection, self-care, and resilience-building, as well as practical skills such as recognizing signs of distress in oneself or a friend and knowing when and how to ask for help.

2. Youth-led research
Youth Psychology Association also hosts a publishing platform where high school and undergraduate students can submit their research related to psychology, neuroscience, and mental health. We welcome empirical projects, literature reviews, theoretical papers, and data-informed essays that deepen our understanding of how young people think, feel, and learn in today’s world.
Submissions go through a structured, student-centered review process that mirrors professional journals while remaining supportive and educational. By publishing with us, youth authors gain experience in scientific writing, peer review, and research ethics, and their work becomes freely available to peers, educators, and mental health professionals.
3. Youth-based opportunities
We strive to empower and inspire youth to explore health care related careers. Thus, we offer as non-sponsored center for youth to explore B.C based student opportunities in order to support the world's future health care professionals!
